A seasoned Financial Advisor since 2001, Mark has worked for and serviced a loyal clientele of families, empty nesters, boomers and business owners throughout Wellington and Dufferin counties.

Husband to Agatha and father of three children, Georgia, Murphy and Henry. Enjoys cottaging in the Kawarthas, sailing, fishing, golf and everything that gets him outdoors.

He provides sound guidance when your financial issues feel overwhelming. He is conscientious, with a near obsession for doing things right, and specializes in partnering with individuals and families in retirement income planning, wealth creation, and estate transition planning.

Also, he has expertise with business owners/executives on succession planning protection, group benefits and group investments/pension plans.

Mark believes in honouring your unique interests, worries, background, opportunities and preferences. For everything he commits to, whether large or small, he feels emotionally bound to follow through to its successful completion.

Melanie McWhirter

Financial Advisor

As a proud, single mom of daughter Zoe, Melanie enjoys anything outdoors especially camping and hiking with her dog.

Melanie grew up in Guelph and has lived in Fergus since 2006 and loves everything about our community and is very active volunteering her time with Women in Crisis and active with therapy dog activities.

Melanie works with small business owners, growing families, boomers and empty nesters. She establishes deep relations with each client, treating everyone with respect and integrity. With active listening and communication skills she is able to make financial solutions fit each clients goals with simple plans and solid advice.

She also accurately creates and maintains strategic portfolios for clients and has financial industry background with prior auto financing experience.

Jayne Holmes

Team Leader / Licensed Assistant

Since 1995 Jayne has been part of our Team delivering helpful knowledgeable service to our clients. She's organized and ensures that our backstage delivers the ultimate client experience.

She's involved in all aspects of Mountjoy Financial working behind the scenes overseeing our Client Service Dept.

Breana Gosse and Tara Wainwright

Licensed Assistants / Client Services

Breana and Tara ensure all our clients receive excellent service and support. Their responsibilities include scheduling appointments, handle trade processing, troubleshoot administration issues and life insurance product servicing.

They both joined Mountjoy Financial in January 2024. Their people skills, positive attitudes and attention to detail are an asset to the Team.
